As part of Medica Gjakova’s project for economic empowerment, we have opened a shop in Gjakovë, located on “Skënderbeu” Street, where agricultural and handmade products created by women are sold. This initiative supports many women and their families, helping their economic empowerment and improve their well-being. Through this process, women actively contribute to their households and the wider community.

The shop brings together women who work collectively to produce and sell their goods, generating income for themselves and their families. These women are engaged in agricultural activities, growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers, and processing them into products available at the store. Medica Gjakova provides organizational support, offering training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and enable them to secure a stable position in the marketplace.

Our shop offers a wide variety of products, including different types of cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, cream, and milk. We also sell fresh produce such as trees and vegetables, along with processed items like pickled peppers, pickled tomatoes, pickled cucumbers, salads, ajvar, jams, honey, and more. Every product is locally grown and crafted with care by the women entrepreneurs of Kosovo, ensuring high- quality, organic agricultural goods.

In addition to agricultural products, we also feature various handmade items, reflecting the talents and dedication of these women. Our store is not just a marketplace; it’s a hub of opportunity for women to strengthen their economic independence and secure a better future for themselves and their families.

We are excited to announce that we have expanded to a second location in Pristina, operating with the same mission to reintegrate more women and families into society. This new unit continues our work of providing bio-local agricultural products and handmade goods from across Kosovo.
