On 19 June, members of the “Be My Voice” platform Medica Gjakova KRCT – Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims QPDG – Qendra për Promovimin e Drejtave të Grave and Medica Kosova marked the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict with a poignant street action. We’ve taken to the streets to deliver telegrams from survivors of conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) to society. These messages, echoing the survivors’ experiences of resilience, victory, and anguish, are part of our collective endeavour to amplify awareness and combat the stigma surrounding these brave individuals. Our goal is to foster a more supportive community that not only understands but actively participates in reducing the stigma faced by survivors. These messages are distributed across various municipalities in Kosovo, including Prishtina/Priština, Pejë/Peć, Prizren, Gjakovë/Ðakovica, Mitrovica, Ferizaj/Uroševac, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Drenas/Glogovac, and Skënderaj/Srbica.
Together, we can make a difference. Join us in this vital cause and help us spread the word.
